Seattle Kraken sign goaltender Victor Östman and defenseman Ville Ottavainen to one-year deals

(SEATTLE)— Seattle Kraken General Manager Jason Botterill announced on Friday that the club has signed goaltender Victor Östman and defenseman Ville Ottavainen both to one-year, two-way deals ($850,000 AAV) for the 2026-27 season, according to nhl.com/kraken. Östman, 25, played his first full professional season with the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League (AHL), appearing in 36 games and posting a 17-15-3 record, 2.81 goals-against average, .906 save percentage and two shutouts. Allen on Saturday announced it has entered into a formal sale agreement with an ownership group led by the Khosla family, including Vinod Khosla, for the Seattle Seahawks NFL franchise. Mariners hoping Julio Rodriguez will rejoin team after All-Star break

PETERSBURG)- When the Seattle Mariners come out of the All-Star break on Friday, it seems likely that they will have Julio Rodríguez in the lineup for that night’s game against the Giants at T-Mobile Park, according to mariners.com.
