(BURLINGTON)-  The Port of Skagit has enlisted four local partners to help in the creation of an inventory of industrial lands in Skagit County.

The inventory will be used to help create a database of available sites, both publicly and privately owned, that can be utilized to market Skagit County as a viable location for certain types of industrial development.

The port signed agreements with the Port of Anacortes, the Skagit Council of Governments and Skagit County, with each partner providing $7,000 plus staff support and existing pertinent data for the inventory.

In addition, the Economic Development Association of Skagit County is participating as part of its 2013 contract with the Port of Skagit.
