(DECEPTION PASS)— The Washington State Department of Transportation says yesterday’s scheduled inspection of the Deception Pass Bridge between Fidalgo and Whidbey Islands was canceled due to high winds.
Dave Chesson in DOT’s Burlington office says crews are now shooting for today.
The bridge crew will close one lane of the Deception Pass Bridge today, weather permitting, so that the city of Oak Harbor can inspect utilities that run under the bridge.
Chesson says flaggers will alternate traffic between 8 a.m. and 2 o’clock today through the one open lane.
Drivers should expect delays, so please plan ahead and leave early for work or appointments.
