(ANACORTES)— The Anacortes School Board will interview six candidates for their soon to be open Superintendent position this week.

Current Superintendent Chris Borgen will retire June 30^th after leading the Anacortes School District since 2005.

Officials say interviews will take place today and tomorrow, and the board will narrow its list to three candidates, who will have site visits and final interviews March 4^th through the 6^th.

The public is invited to community question and answer sessions with the finals, which will take place March 4^th through the 6^th at the Island View Elementary School theater from 7 p.m. to 8 o’clock each night.

The Anacortes School Board is scheduled to review the finalists March 7^th and make an announcement at a special 6:15 p.m. meeting that night.
