(MOUNT VERNON)— The Board of Directors for the Skagit Conservation Education Alliance say they’ve appointed Steve Olsen of Anacortes to take over as program manager for the Alliance after the retirement of Pete Haase earlier this year.

Olsen was a member of the Board of Directors for the Skagit Conservation Education Alliance for eight years and served as president from 2007-2009.

Previous to his appointment, Olsen was an environmental health specialist and the on site sewage program lead for the Skagit County Health Department.

Olsen started in his new position Monday, July 5th.
