(BELLINGHAM)- Three agencies doing environmental studies of a proposed export terminal at Cherry Point in Whatcom County have amended their working agreement. The U-S Army Corps of Engineers, Washington Department of Ecology and Whatcom County will continue their coordination, while producing two Environmental Impact Statements. They originally planned one joint E-I-S. In August the Corps informed the other two it would make its own, under federal law. Ecology and the county will continue together under state law. All three will stay with the consulting firm they jointly selected last year.
