JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) _ It appears the captain of a ship sinking in the Bering Sea put his crew first, and that’s why most of them survived. Captain Eric Jacobsen of Lynnwood and three crew members died of hypothermia in the frigid waters off Alaska. They couldn’t make it to life rafts in 20-foot seas and 30-knot winds, but 42 crew members survived.
